About The Role:
The Business Report Intern at Spot will play an important role in assisting with the support of business needs in various areas of reporting and back-end data analysis. They should have advanced knowledge in Power BI (or other business intelligence tools), Microsoft Excel, and the ability to write SQL queries & reports. These individuals are very detail-oriented, self-motivated, analytical, and have strong organizational/prioritization skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain customized operational reports across multiple business areas for use by department heads and senior management.
- Adjust and optimize back-end queries to further increase efficiency on reports.
- Interpret data, analyze results and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities.
- Troubleshoot data integrity and seek out back-end improvements.
- Manage and optimize performance on the reporting server using capacity metrics and other tools.
Qualifications:
- Must be working toward a bachelor’s degree.
- MIS, Business Analytics, Informatics, Finance, or related concentrations are preferred.
- Must be able to commute to Indianapolis, IN 30+ hours a week from May-August. No housing stipend.
Skills:
- Expertise in PowerBI (or other business intelligence tools), SQL, Microsoft Office programs
- A strong sense of urgency to complete tasks to thrive in a fast-paced work environment along with unwavering attention to detail.
Pay Information:
- $20/hr.
