We are seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to promote and expand automation and engineering services offerings in the Phoenix territory. You will develop new and existing accounts and acquiring business from past network relationships and assigned account relationship(s), geography, or vertical industry segment including marketing planning, account planning, and project pursuits. You will also work directly with the Key Account Managers (KAM) and Directors to provide guidance and be involved with internal and external CRM activities and events. This role reports to the VP of Business Development.
You will:
- Work with our customers to include participating in the initial concept designs to closing while providing guidance and aligning with the appropriate expertise internal to our team. Display and/or present our services offering emphasizing features and benefits (how we differentiate from others). And work with members of the organization to include leadership team, sales, proposals, engineering, KAM – others as needed or required.
- Maintain and develop territory plans
- Maintain and develop account plans of existing and new targeted accounts with focus on high likelihood of success as top priority (~5 to 10 accounts). Total accounts being managed can be around 40-60.
- Review regularly and work closely with operations to execute territory and account plans
- Follow the sales process to qualify opportunities and leads and move them through the pipeline. (Must drive opportunities forward)
- Take ownership of all opportunities and leads assigned and keep the CRM up to date
- Maintain an accurate forecast in the CRM and ensure no past due close dates
- Assists in getting new customers onboarded with necessary paperwork.
- Pursue projects for engineering design and automation companies/customers.
- Work with Marketing to promote our products, capabilities and services.
- Stays aware of supply chain and logistical issues to assist estimating and keeping customers informed.
- Maintains and improves quoting quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies, workflow and procedures.
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Travel as required throughout assigned territory to call on new, existing and prospective customers (includes trade shows and events).
- Develop and manage key and strategic partnering relationships with vendors, distributors, OEMS, and other trades.
- Be an ambassador that prioritizes the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the Careers of our associates.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years’ direct outside sales experience
- Understanding of industrial automation solutions and services
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
- A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.
You may have:
- Engineering, Science or Technical business degree
- System Integration Experience
- Automation engineering experience in programming and selling PLC, DCS, HMI/SCADA
