OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE  

The Infopro Digital Business Exec position is a team-oriented, quota carrying role that will focus on revenue generation for the Global Financial Market brands, specifically selling our Risk.Net, FX Markets and Waters Technology products to clients globally. This   role will sell enterprise access to our subscriptions and memberships to new clients, whilst working alongside the Account Management team to ensure clients buy our full suite of products.   The Business Development Manager will work with an entrepreneurial mindset that demonstrates drive, initiative, energy and a sense of urgency.  

You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop strategic initiatives that support the company’s objectives in the financial services industry. You will be expected to leverage your expertise and networks to generate leads, close high-value deals, and expand the company's footprint in key global markets. 



KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute a strategic business development plan that aligns with the company's goals and targets in the global financial market. 
  • Sales and Negotiation: Lead the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiations, ensuring the successful closure of deals. This includes conducting presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations tailored to the needs of financial institutions 
  • Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs, driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and existing client expansion 
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across global financial markets, focusing on investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, fintech firms, and other financial institutions. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of contracts, onboarding, and service delivery. 
  • Networking and Industry Events: Represent the company at global financial conferences, networking events, and trade shows. Establish a presence in key industry forums to build brand recognition and attract new business. 
  • Reporting and Analytics: Regularly report on business development progress, sales pipeline, and market insights to senior leadership. Use CRM and other tools to track and manage sales activity and opportunities. 

KEY COMPETENCIES:  

  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to navigate complex discussions, find win-win solutions and negotiate terms that support both short term and long-term business objectives.  
  • Market Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of the market and the full GFM product suit.  
  • Communication Skills: Ability to articulate effectively and efficiently in front of C-Suit level prospects and clients.  
  • Adaptability, Resilience and Self-Motivation: Front line sales is a tough role, this person must have the ability to keep going and have the required self-motivation to put in the hard yards to ensure success. 
  • Excellent Time Management: Must have the ability to spin a lot of plates. Having various ongoing deals in play at any one time whilst not losing sight of any next step.  
  • Goal Oriented: Must be motivated by sales targets and consistently striving to meet or exceed them. 
  • Tech Savvy: Being proficient with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track interactions, follow-ups, and progress on leads. 
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of successful proactive business development, sales, marketing, or lead generation/enablement experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Experience selling business to business (B2B) with a track record of overachieving sales goals  
  • An understanding of financial concepts and principles as they relate to clients’ needs is a strong plus 
  • Additional language is a bonus, but not a requirement
