Together with the Senior Business Controller in Operations, you deliver insights, analyses and reports to enable the operations leadership team to drive efficiency and cost control to improve profitability.

You will also deliver support to drive budgeting, forecasting and other financial processes as part of the planning and control cycle. You challenge the business by asking questions to drive better decision-making.

This is a hybrid role, based out of Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. You are invited to work on-site at the office a minimum of two days per week. We support your home office set-up, travel costs, and provide flexibility regarding hybrid work.

What you'll do

-Work in close collaboration with the Senior Business Controller on:

  • Financial planning and analysis: Analysing operational costs, productivity and efficiency of the operations functions to support management decisions. Identifying (financial) risks and opportunities.

  • Operational performance monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators related to operations (manufacturing, supply chain and procurement). Provide insights to improve productivity and efficiency. Provide analyses between actual and budgeted / forecasted results.

  • Cost control & optimisation: Identify cost-saving initiatives, analyse resource allocations and collaborate with business teams across Operations: Supply chain, Production, Logistics, Procurement, and more.

  • Monthly reporting: Deliver reports on a monthly basis regarding CAPEX, inventory, purchase result and other topics across Operations.

  • Support of improvement projects and business initiatives: participate in projects such as World Class manufacturing, S&OP implementation and further. Create business cases to assess new initiatives. Drive process improvements, harmonisation and implementation across the production plants.

  • Support Group wide strategy projects

  • Support Compliance & Risk Management: identify operational risks and possible mitigation measures, adhere and control adherence to financial regulations and company policies

-Drive preparation for Monthly Operations Review meetings: prepare documentation, support calls and track action lists

What you bring

  • Experience: 2-6 years of working experience.

  • Industry Knowledge: You have worked in a manufacturing company as an assistant or junior plant controller, procurement controller or equivalent. This means you have gathered a clear understanding of either manufacturing, supply chain, and/or procurement processes.

  • Communication Skills: You can communicate effectively and build relationships in an international matrix organisation, in which the working language is English on a global level.

  • Skills: You enjoy working in a structured way, are accurate and analytical, know Excel inside out and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done.

  • Business Mindset: Next to being a specialist in controlling, you have a strong drive to understand the business and its operations.

  • Educational Background: You have obtained a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or Accounting.
