Business Unit Overview:
Infrastructure & Asset-Based Credit
Blackstone Credit & Insurance is one of the largest credit asset managers in the world and is a leading investor in structured credit through its Infrastructure & Asset-Based Credit (“IABC”) platform. IABC employs a broad strategy with investments across infrastructure debt, asset based lending, sustainable resources, and corporate solutions through both private and public markets. IABC targets investments across multiple key sectors including energy transition, infrastructure, consumer & commercial finance, along with large corporate companies.
Primary responsibilities will include:

Perform due diligence on prospective investments within the credit space, with a focus on Structured Credit, including meeting with potential borrowers, doing deep dives on the business, industry/strategy research, financial modeling, and putting together investment materials.

Working with other members of the Investment Team to diligence, and underwrite investment opportunities, leveraging Blackstone’s various groups where appropriate.

Building comprehensive financial models and evaluating various cases and types of deal structures.

Drafting and presenting memorandums for Investment Committees.

Monitoring existing investments including tracking KPI’s and continuously challenging the validity of the investment thesis.

Thinking creatively about ways to improve the team’s existing processes.
Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, a successful candidate will have:

A desire to work in a team environment, often under competing deadlines.

Strong financial modeling skills, with past experience modeling and evaluating transactions.

Excellent technical proficiency in Excel. Coding experience is helpful, but not required.

Prior experience preparing presentation materials using PowerPoint.
-
Strong communication skills.
-
Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn.

2+ years of relevant work experience at an investment bank (FIG, Leveraged Finance, Securitized Products banking/Structuring or Securitized Products Trading preferred), consulting firm, or buy-side investment firm.

Past Structured Credit experience is helpful, but not required.

Expected annual base salary range:
$140,000 - $150,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
