To expand and strengthen the team we are looking for a Backup Expert specialized in cyber recovery, based in one of our European hubs. Let’s work together to expand our capabilities and reach. This is not just a technology shift but a growth enabler, allowing us to scale operations seamlessly and respond to cyber disasters rapidly. You will define our strategic investments in backup technologies to foster long-term growth, ensuring that every step we take is a step towards a more robust and dynamic future.

Main responsibilities:

• Investigate, architect, design and recommend backup and recovery solutions that leverage Sanofi standards, with a strong focus on cyber security and cyber resiliency
• Identify, Define, Communicate, and implement Improvement Plans, to ensure and maintain the robustness (availability, reliability, efficiency, performance) of our infrastructures around the globe
• Take ownership for the development of effective and optimized solutions and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure delivery of a complete operational service contributing value to the business
• Provide technical expertise and leadership to backup and cyber security teams globally to ensure completeness and robustness of our infrastructures
• Investigate, design, recommend, and implement backup solutions to drive Sanofi Cyber Recovery strategy
• Subject matter expert for Backup Cyber Recovery processes globally

About you

Experience:

• 8+ Years direct, progressive hands-on backup management experience, with at least 3+ years in a large global environment
• Experience in Mass Restore & Recovery at large scale

• Autonomy and Networking:
  - Collaborative team member with proven ability to assist in large, complex and diverse services and personnel
  - Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, and an ability to successfully prioritize tasks and work independently

• Learn new technologies quickly and integrate them into a distributed environment
• Proven communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) and experiences in a networked organizational environment, for Digital and non-Digital audiences

Technical skills:

• In-depth understanding of backup technologies (not limited to) Commvault, Acronis, Azure Backup, AWS Backup, Data Protector in large scale dispersed environments
• Experience with Commvault and Acronis for massive restore, and design of Integrated Recovery Environments
• Previous experience in backup monitoring implementation at large scale in a multi backup tools context using Bocada, Splunk, and ServiceNow
• Practical experience in Automation to reduce the burden on operations using Ansible Terraform for backup incident creation and resolution, and provisioning requests

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Languages:

• Fluency in English mandatory
