About you

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in backend development using Java or Node.js.
- Expertise in RESTful API design and implementation.
- Hands-on experience with WhatsApp Business API and chatbot automation.
- Knowledge of AI/NLP frameworks such as Dialogflow, Rasa, OpenAI GPT, or IBM Watson.
- Familiarity with OAuth, JWT authentication, and API security best practices.
- Experience with database management using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Proficiency in Docker and containerized environment
- Understanding of webhooks, event-driven architectures, and real-time messaging.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
- Develop a Proof of Concept (PoC) for integrating WhatsApp Business with AI-driven automation.
- Set up and maintain the backend infrastructure to connect third-party APIs.
- Implement secure and scalable API integrations.
- Ensure real-time message processing with event-driven architectures.
- Optimize API performance and handle high-concurrency scenarios.
- Work with AI models and NLP frameworks to improve chatbot responses.
- Maintain compliance with WhatsApp API usage guidelines and data privacy laws.
- Collaborate with the team to deploy and test the integration in a production-like environment.
