TOKYO

This role is based in Tokyo, Japan, with flexibility for remote work. Regular travel is required for business meetings, partner visits, and industry events.


THE ROLE

The B2B Partnerships Manager is responsible for driving business expansion through strategic B2B partnerships while ensuring smooth operational execution for existing partners. This role focuses on securing new business opportunities, managing commercial transactions, and expanding revenue streams. At the same time, it ensures operational success by supporting partners with onboarding, implementation, and long-term efficiency improvements.

This position requires a blend of commercial acumen, relationship management, and operational expertise to maximize revenue and partner satisfaction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Identify and secure new B2B business opportunities, driving commercial transactions and ensuring profitability and strategic alignment.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms, securing long-term, mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Develop and execute a strategic approach for the group's pre-owned category, leveraging industry experience to drive revenue growth and account expansion.
  • Oversee the end-to-end onboarding of partners, ensuring a smooth transition and providing guidance on working methods and overall processes.
  • Monitor and enhance partner operational efficiency, delivering performance metrics, insights, and process improvements.
  • Identify and drive growth plans, assessing opportunities for operational expansion and supporting their execution.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Buying, Merchandise, Operations, Finance, Tech, etc.) to align objectives and drive seamless execution.
  • Provide structured feedback on partner needs, ensuring internal teams develop solutions that support long-term success.
  • Optimize existing workflows and processes to improve both operational execution and revenue growth.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in B2B partnerships, business development, or strategic account management, preferably within luxury resale, fashion, or e-commerce. Proven ability to drive revenue growth, secure contracts, and manage long-term business relationships.
  • Negotiation & Problem-Solving: Strong skills in structuring and closing B2B deals, optimizing agreements, and resolving partner challenges. Ability to assess commercial risks, operational inefficiencies, and market opportunities, ensuring profitable and sustainable outcomes.
  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Skilled at building and managing relationships with key partners, suppliers, and internal teams. Adept at aligning partner needs with business objectives, driving engagement and long-term success.
  • Commercial & Business Acumen: Deep understanding of revenue drivers, market trends, and competitive positioning in the luxury resale industry. Ability to translate industry insights into growth strategies and data-driven decisions.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Japanese is required for business negotiations, partner engagement, and internal collaboration.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
