Job Summary
The Associate Manager, Brand Marketing will be responsible for the day-to-day in-store product sampling program through coordinating cross-functional activities among marketing, merchandising, procurement, and external partners. They will support the reporting, budgeting, and campaign aspects of this program. The ideal candidate has strong project organization skills, attention to detail, a strategic mindset, and the ability to help translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
Job Description
- Experience Required: 3 to 5 years retail work experience in a similar work environment (marketing, merchandising, retail/grocery/restaurant)
- Experience Desired: Multi-faceted project coordination in fast paced environments
- Experience Desired: MS Office, specifically MS Excel(pivot tables)
- Experience Desired: analytical skills in order to review campaign performance
- Education Desired: Bachelors Degree
Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations for Supermarket sampling program; maintain open communication with teams to understand needs, objectives, and any changes to sampling campaigns; proactively address concerns and ensure quick resolution. Collaboration cross-functionally among multiple fast-paced groups, inclusive of (but not limited to) Lines of Business, Marketing, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Third-Party Partner, Retail OPS and Product Vendors
- Develop and coordinate sampling calendar and ensure timely execution of campaigns, allocating appropriate product mix of national brand and own brand sampling events; Coordinate event scheduling, product details, quantities, and creative assets for store sampling kits
- Ensure timely delivery of schedule to Procurement to ensure adequate inventory purchasing for events; provide product distribution details and quantities to stores to ensure timely product delivery
- Strong collaboration with third-party vendor on sampling staff on product knowledge, brand messaging, and customer engagement techniques to ensure successful sampling events
- Generate detailed reports on sampling activity pre/during/post event; Communicate findings and provide recommendations for future sampling strategies.
- Monitor marketing sampling trends and competitive activity to identify improvement and growth opportunities
