WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
The Associate Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and ensuring the financial health of the organization. This role will involve close collaboration with various departments to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and drive profitability. Specifically, an AFM will:
- Serve as a strategic business partner, bringing an understanding of Finance, value creation and business drivers.
- Focus on operations including but not limited to formulation of pricing strategies, business assessment of new product initiatives, economic evaluation of capital expenditures, competitive analysis and benchmarking, and business process redesign
- Analyze financial results and key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate results to leadership.
- Implement process improvement actions in assigned areas in line with development of procedures for required duties.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional business partners to develop annual financial plans and ongoing forecasts for departmental expenses and headcounts.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of P&L statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide explanations for deviations from budget/forecast.
- Support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Prepare and present financial reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track financial metrics.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Lead ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as needed.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 4+ years of related financial planning and analysis experience with increasing responsibility and control
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on P&L management.
- Prior work experience in Brand, Supply Chain, Customer Development (Sales), Audit, Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Financial Planning is preferred
- An enterprising and inquisitive nature that can find solutions to complex problems
- Experience creating and implementing process improvement solutions

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
