Business Overview

BlackRock’s Global Product Solutions business (GPS) was formed in 2024 with a mission to innovate, curate and commercialize the full breadth of our investment platform to meet client needs, wherever they are. We do this by innovating the next wave of products and solutions, accelerating iShares adoption, sharpening our focus on active, scaling private markets and our transition businesses, and driving focus on commercial priorities through product prioritization.  

Within GPS, the Global COO organization is accountable for core business management activities (including headcount, expense discipline and talent strategy), business governance and oversight as well as leading strategic cross-functional projects to protect and grow the business. During 2025, we are expanding the team to include a Center of Excellence “COO CoE” in Mexico City to drive scale and consistency in COO activities across the GPS organization.

As part of this, we are seeking a data and analytics-oriented candidate to support business management with a focus on governance, dashboarding and reporting on the operational effectiveness of our business.

The successful candidate should understand how to navigate the global organization, operate in a resourceful manner and demonstrate strong communication skills. Interpersonal skills will be critically important to build strong relationships with stakeholders and develop connectivity with partners across Blackrock.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive requirements and manage governance forums to reduce risk across GPS product ranges and services:  
    • Fund data on BlackRock’s websites: Oversee daily operations of GPS’s governance program for ETF and Mutual Fund data on our public facing websites in the US. This includes driving requirements for enhancements, escalations and translating between business needs and their technical solutions to mitigate risk on the web
    • Governance reporting & analytics: Compile, analyse and summarize data to coordinate periodic governance forums and support ongoing business & conflicts reviews
  • Produce top-quality dashboards and reporting that provide insights and transparency into the operational effectiveness of GPS. Examples include:    
    • Compliance reporting: Develop and maintain monthly reporting on GPS’s compliance scorecard, including operating events and violations, to inform decisions on targeted training and enhanced oversight where needed.
    • Periodic business management reporting: Develop and own a consistent set of monthly reports that provide transparency into hiring, expenses and other metrics for global GPS and by sub-business line. Build and maintain a dashboard that organizes and visualizes resource allocation related to content reviews in order to inform nature of reviews and resource limitations
  • In addition to these core areas of focus, this role will also be responsible for driving or supporting business management initiatives in partnership with the broader COO team. Examples include:
    • Training Programmes: Track and drive completion of compliance-related trainings
    • Talent initiatives including driving completion of career development-related deadlines and initiatives related to GPS’s Grad Analysts and Intern programs

Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

  • Prior experience in Financial Services and/or Operational teams in a complex, global organization
  • 3-6+ years of experience with driving business management or project management in a complex environment, preferably in the financial / asset management industry
  • Native in Spanish; fluency in English both verbal and written required
  • The ability to effectively collaborate with and present to both technical and non-technical partners on Fund Data and Dashboarding activities. Strong preference for experience in Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI or similar for delivery of management information and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information, summarize issues and think creatively
  • Knowledge of how to navigate a global organization, operate in a highly resourceful manner, be extremely well organized and demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills will be critical to building strong relationships across multiple stakeholder groups at all levels
  • Sense of initiative and passion to drive growth of BlackRock’s businesses.
  • An upbeat teammate and driven self-starter, with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic
