Job Description
Job Summary:
The Technology Innovation and Solution Manager (In-Store Backend System) will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of in-store backend systems that drive the company’s in-store technology initiatives. This role involves assisting in system development, providing technical knowledge, and ensuring the efficiency and reliability of in-store backend operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technology Innovation and Strategy:
- Develop and execute strategies for in-store technology innovation.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends that can be leveraged to enhance the customer experience and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and align technology solutions with strategic objectives.
2. Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of in-store technology projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to manage project timelines and deliverables.
3. Solution Development:
- Design and develop innovative in-store technology solutions, including point-of-sale systems, digital signage, mobile applications, and customer engagement tools.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed technology solutions.
- Oversee the testing and deployment of new technologies in pilot stores and full-scale rollouts.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to store staff and management.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of in-store technology solutions.
- Collect feedback from customers and store staff to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement enhancements and updates to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology innovation, solution development, or a related role, preferably within the retail or related industry.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and customer experience.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering technology projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team management and work collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as AI, IoT, and mobile applications.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
