About the Role

We are looking for Area Managers, CPG to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain. We are a culture-first organization that works relentlessly to maintain our culture. Each Area Manager, CPG position we are hiring for would be required to travel within their respective area. Those areas include the United States: the Northwest, California, the Rockies-Southwest, East Texas and West and South Central US states, the Southeast including Virginia, the Northwest, Northeast and East Central US states, and the Northeast (Washington DC and north along the East coast).
The Area Manager, CPG is responsible for regional logistic program operations to ensure that products and/or people move from one place to another efficiently and cost-effectively while fostering relationships with drivers and clients. This position would also occasionally be utilized to assist in others as needed, i.e. route recon and driver onboarding. A successful Area Manager, CPG, will complete every transition smoothly with no time delays, lost product, or incidents that prevent the customer from receiving their orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire process of a shipment, from acquisition to delivery
  • Correspond with clients, suppliers, warehouses, transportation hubs, and drivers to ensure efficiency
  • Driver Community Management (drive culture)
  • Responsible for Carrier, Owner Operator and Driver Recruitment
  • Build Regional Supplier Relationships and KPI Management
  • Conduct system updates, region specific, and driver improvement
  • Conduct driver evaluations and coaches drivers to ensure consistency and an exceptional experience
  • Coordinate and conduct Training/onboarding of drivers onto our platform
  • Responsible for application adoption by both drivers and clients
  • Work closely with control tower to ensure delivery of client loads
  • Coordinate with HSE & Compliance Manager for risk & communications with drive teams
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned


Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000
Requirements:

  • 50-100% travel required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word)
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in all projects and an ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as necessary.
  • Ability to multi-task projects and required tasks in an organized fashion
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-motivated in individual projects
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written to all levels within and outside of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to work a flexible 12 hour day, Monday through Friday

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred
  • 5+ years truck operations or related experience and/or training
  • Tanker Freight experience preferred
  • Prior CPG industry experience
