AltaGas - Manager, Corporate and Midstream Communications

In this role, you will spearhead the creation and implementation of dynamic communication strategies that advance our organizational goals. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping our narrative, engaging stakeholders, and enhancing our reputation.

You Will:

  • Lead Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and implement communication strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives

  • Oversee Internal Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the organization to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with company values and goals

  • Manage Media Relations: Oversee team responsible for building and maintaining relationships with media, prepare press releases, and handle media inquiries

  • Lead Crisis Communication: Develop and execute crisis communication plans to address issues that could impact the organization’s reputation, ensuring timely and transparent messaging

  • Supervise Content Creation: Produce a variety of communication materials, including newsletters, speeches, presentations, and reports, tailored to different audiences

  • Coordinate Event Management: Organize and manage corporate events, such as town halls and speaking engagements

  • Engage Internal Stakeholders: Identify and engage with key stakeholders to build relationships and gather feedback, fostering a positive organizational culture

  • Monitor and Analyze: Track media coverage and public sentiment, analyze communication effectiveness, and use data to inform future strategies

You Have:

  • 7-10 Years experience in communications with demonstrated leadership capabilities

  • Proven leadership experience in corporate communications, preferably within the energy industry

  • Strong understanding of midstream operations and industry-specific communication challenges

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans

  • Experience in crisis communication and media relations

  • Proficiency in content creation and event management

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive communication strategies

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
