We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the team!
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist you'll be at the heart of our billing operations, managing and processing customer invoices, resolving billing issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. Your role will include preparing invoices in line with customer contracts, collaborating with other departments and maintaining up to date customer accounts.
We value in-person collaboration here at Matillion, therefore this role will ideally follow our hybrid work structure where Matillioners work 2 days a week in the Manchester office.
What you will be doing
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers and clients.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding billing and provide clear explanations of charges and policies.
- Address and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes with professionalism and efficiency.
- Raise credit notes when required to ensure accuracy in billing.
- Generate regular reports on billing activities, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance billing operations.
- Ensure all billing activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organised, up-to-date billing records and documentation.
- Stay informed on changes in billing regulations, ensuring your work is always aligned with industry best practices.
- Verify billing data, correct errors, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in an accounts receivable, billing, or related role.
- Experience using NetSuite (preferred) or similar accounting systems.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with very high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities with ease.
At Matillion, we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level and country. This role’s estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is £24,000 - £36,000. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
