About the Role: As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our team by providing accounting support using QuickBooks (Online) and assisting the Project Manager with contract processing. Your responsibilities will include tracking purchase orders, ensuring accurate data entry, and handling various office management duties such as sorting and distributing mail, and maintaining office supplies. Additionally, this role offers significant opportunities for growth and development. You will have the chance to enhance your skills, take on new challenges, and advance your career.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: An Associate's degree in accounting is preferred.
- Experience: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online is required, along with experience in accounts receivable and payables, maintaining and reconciling checking and credit card accounts, and making journal entries for sales tax, payroll, and other expenses.
- Skills: Basic math skills for tax purposes, reconciling accounts, and calculating commissions. Proficiency in Excel to set up and maintain spreadsheets. Problem-solving abilities, especially while multi-tasking. Detail-oriented with a commercial construction background desired.
