Main purpose of role:

To form part of a busy Finance function specifically for month/year end closes and external audit. This role is based on site.

Main responsibilities:

  • Revenue & cost forecasting and reporting to senior management.
  • Intercompany reporting and reconciliations with multiple foreign currencies.
  • External audit.
  • Revenue and EBITDA analysis.
  • Budget preparation.
  • Manage passthrough invoicing process.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with international accounting standards for UK GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Complete month end process and production of management accounts, including reporting to corporate finance directly.
  • Numerous reconciliations to the general ledger.
  • Preparation of complex accruals/prepayments.
  • Responsible for ensuring costs are accurately classified in the general ledger.
  • Import document preparation for HMRC compliance including decision making, liaising with internal and external contacts and IPR imports.
  • Management of company expenses to ensure they are claimed in accordance with company policy.
  • Support with stock reconciliation - specifically raw materials.
  • Identifying & implementing processes as part of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Have a positive attitude to learning and have a desire to progress,
  • Previous experience within a finance environment, preferably within manufacturing
  • Previous use of an accounting software package essential, SAGE preferred.
  • Strong IT skills, advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, charts and formulae)
  • Must also be self-motivated and have a creative and flexible outlook towards continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication coupled with a strong attention to detail and confidence dealing with senior management.
  • A degree in a financial discipline.
  • ACCA/CIMA qualified (preferred)
