Accountant

The Accounting Generalist will report to the Financial Controller and play a key role in supporting internal accounting and finance procedures. If you're eager to accelerate your career and contribute to a rapidly growing company entering its next phase, Novisto is the place for you.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain financial records and documentation compliant with IFRS standards
• Provide support in tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and prepare various reports upon management’s requests

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a startup or tech environment
• Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Float, Dext)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
• Excellent verbal and communication skills (Bilingualism French and English)
• Able to commute to the office in the Old Montreal (hybrid work model)
