GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:   

 The Accountant is responsible for daily processing of invoices and vendor disbursements, researching inquiries related to vendor payments, performing reconciliations, and supporting other accounting processes as necessary.

  **This position is based out of West Des Moines, IA and will need to work an on-site hybrid schedule** 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Codes of invoices and payment requests in the invoice workflow system.
  • Supports process enhancements for vendor payments, including but not limited to Purchase Orders.
  • Processes of all vendor disbursements through the invoice workflow system.
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries on payment and invoices submission.
  • Supports travel and expense spending against corporate guidelines.
  • Supports Corporate Card adherence to corporate policies.
  • Supports TravelBank Travel booking and compliance to corporate guidelines
  • Recons between ledger and outstanding travel and expense and record any necessary journal entries.
  • Collaborates with budget/expense management team to ensure coding of invoices aligns with budget tracking requirements
  • Prepares standard expense reports comparing actuals to budget/forecast to support variance analytics.
  • Reconciles accounts as needed.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related field of study plus a minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

None required for this position.

  • Working knowledge of accounts payable systems.
  • No travel is required in this position.
