Job Summary

Sales will include Medicare and Individual health insurance policies (dental, vision, ACA). This position will also support clients with service issues once a policy has been issued with a focus on retention. All business is to be written through Willamette Valley Benefits, Inc. No cold calling! Referrals and community education on Medicare. No buying leads.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to calls from current and prospective clients to quote and sell Medicare and other health insurance plans (Dental, Vision, ACA) and to provide client support.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to current and prospective clients to meet sales targets and performance goals during Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP). Responsible for contacting current clients to renew/change policies.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge for all lines of business and products written.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with policyholders and within community.
  • Present at community events to drive business opportunities for independent agents.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales or client service environment required.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers.
  • Organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical skills to understand complex coverage details and underwriting guidelines.
  • This position requires that incumbents currently have and maintain state insurance license in life and health.
