Account Manager - BeNeLux
We are recruiting an Account Manager to join our BeNeLux team. This position will oversee the Point of Care & Molecular diagnostics product offerings across the BeNeLux region. The ideal candidate will be based in the Netherlands or Flanders (Belgium) with flexibility to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Your new role:
In this role you will work with the Sales Manager, BeNeLux to develop markets and customers (especially new customers), achieving sales targets, providing general customer service in the various areas of responsibility.
What you’ll be doing:
- Growing existing accounts and developing new accounts to meet territory revenue and profitability goals.
- Effectively manages sales pipeline from lead acquisition to contract signing by focusing and advancing customers through the sales process.
- Manage plans that are strategically focused, including account profiles, sales opportunity assessments, account objectives and strategies, action plans, and value assessments.
- Provides or facilitates training on QuidelOrtho products to customers.
- Represents QuidelOrtho at trade shows and professional meetings.
- Demonstrates knowledge of new products, services, and trends within the industry, and assists management and customers with the development of sales strategies that identify the QuidelOrtho advantage, or address and win competitive challenges in the marketplace.
- Works with the Sales Manager for tactical support of special initiatives.
- Conveys timely information to the Sales Manager on field sales activities, events, changes, and trends to maximize sales and marketing opportunities.
- Contributes to the sales forecast on new product launches for assigned region and works to deliver on each forecast.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Degree in a Scientific Field (e.g Chemistry, BioChemistry, Biology) or equivalent work experience in the field of diagnostics
- At least 2 years’ experience working in Medical Devices or similar environment.
- Good understanding of the industry and the BeNeLux market.
- Ability to think innovatively and not be constrained by current practices.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Fluency in Dutch and and English (spoken and written).
- Good discipline, organisation skills and self-motivation to work autonomously in a field based role.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive people relationships and build strong links with all customers.
- Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving with the ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
- Self-starter possessing flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.
- Positive attitude, team player with a high level of initiative, energy, and enthusiasm
- Excellent organisation, facilitator, and presentation skills
- Driven by objectives, solutions, meet the deadlines and customer satisfaction.
