About The Role

As the Account Director, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with one of the most iconic brands in the automotive industry. This role involves developing strategic account plans, leading value-based selling, and ensuring the successful delivery of custom retail fixtures and digital programs tailored to the unique needs of the brand. You will also identify and capitalize on new opportunities to grow DCI’s partnership, helping the brand enhance customer engagement and optimize dealership performance. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will be a key point of contact for the brand's teams and senior stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Account Management & Value Selling:
    • Serve as the primary point of client contact, cultivating strategic relationships with key brand stakeholders.
    • Lead value-based selling initiatives, ensuring that solutions deliver measurable ROI and align with the brand’s business objectives and customer engagement strategies.
    • Ensure client satisfaction and retention by consistently delivering high-value, tailored solutions that address the needs of the customer and brand objectives.
  • New Business Development:
    • Identify new opportunities within the brand’s network to expand footprint and influence.
    • Work with brand leaders to develop retail fixtures and digital solutions that meet evolving needs.
    • Utilize market insights and industry trends to recommend innovative approaches that align with brand goals.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth:
    • Meet and exceed sales targets through upselling, cross-selling, and expanding service offerings across the brand.
    • Develop compelling presentations that showcase the solution’s value, highlighting success stories and measurable outcomes.
    • Negotiate contracts and set pricing to ensure solutions provide clear value to the brand.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Create and execute account plans focused on growing the brand within portfolio, with clear objectives and key performance indicators.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that address brand-specific challenges and opportunities.
    • Stay informed about the competitive landscape, market developments, and industry shifts that may impact the brand, ensuring that solutions remain competitive and innovative.
  • Sales Pipeline & Relationship Management:
    • Manage and track sales opportunities within CRM systems, maintaining accurate records of all interactions, negotiations, and progress.
    • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with brand stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales and service cycle.
    • Provide regular updates to DCI’s executive leadership team on account performance, sales pipeline, and key metrics related to the brand.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in account management and/or sales, with a proven track record in managing large automotive accounts, particularly with OEMs.
    • Expertise in value selling, with a demonstrated ability to drive business impact for automotive brands through tailored solutions.
    • Strong understanding of brand dynamics, dealership operations, and customer engagement strategies within the automotive industry.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with experience managing senior-level client relationships.
    • Proven success in business development, prospecting, and expanding client partnerships within the automotive sector.
    • Willingness to travel as needed, including to brand teams and dealership locations (up to 25% travel).
