Job Description

​​​​​​​Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Avani+ Fares Maldives employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their Team Members. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • The Account Assistant is mainly responsible for handling the Income Audit function of the Resort.
  • In depth knowledge in Opera PMS and Micros Symphoni are mandatory.
  • The Income Auditor is responsible for verifying and reporting the resort's revenue by monitoring and recording all income and postings through a detailed daily audit. 
  • Audit and verify all revenue transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other ancillary services.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and posted in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and distribute daily revenue reports to management.
  • Reconcile revenue discrepancies and resolve any issues or variances.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures and prepare financial statements.
  • Monitor and review all accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial processes to ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand the principles and procedures of bookkeeping and record-keeping
  • Accuracy in accounting
  • Knowledge of business-level English, both verbal and written 
  • Ability to maintain business and client relationships
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office 
  • Must currently hold the role applying for.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Hospitality Industry.
  • Must have a stable career history
  • Trackable references to support the role applied for.
