Job Objective:
Provides technical support to Midstream Operations by contributing to the midstream team in various ways depending on specific assignments. Assists the Operations department with the creation of AFE’s, cost tracking, accruals, and reconciliation on both capital and expense projects. Also collects, organizes, interprets, and streamlines operational data into KPIs and visualization dashboards.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Capital project AFE creation, purchase order creation, cost and accruals tracking, forecasting and report generation.
  • Work as a liaison between field operations personnel, engineering, accounting, and financial reporting to ensure project costs are current and accurate.
  • Assist with end of year accruals and budgets for all capital and expense projects.
  • Track costs and provide reports to various departments for risk management, compliance for incidents, reimbursable projects, 3rd party incidents, litigations, capital depreciation, etc. as necessary.
  • Create custom reports, presentations, or summary data for a variety of operational and financial purposes (costs, volumes, and performance and works to streamline reporting methods).
  • Lead efforts to efficiently track and report operational and financial KPIs.
  • Organize operational and financial data into a centralized dashboards to provide continuous insight for the department.
  • Applies skills and concepts to ensure data integrity, data reliability accessibility throughout the group. 
  • Compiles data, communicates findings and provides information to team members. 
  • Must be willing and able to travel periodically to the field assets.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years oil and gas project controls analyst experience required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, peers, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems and integrate data from different sources.
  • Shows a strong sense of ownership that drives them to take initiative in developing proficiency.
  • Customer-service oriented and an excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environments.
  • Self-starter who wants to learn and is a creative thinker who can suggest and make improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • High-level proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook).
  • Preferred experience with SAP, Teams, SharePoint and PowerBI.

Education Requirements:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a technical degree.
