Department Summery:

Hillsboro Innovative Therapies (HIT) facility. The HIT Program Management Office is committed to enabling project teams to effectively plan, execute and drive strategic decisions by partnering with stakeholders across the network and within the site to consistently deliver multi-modality therapies that can change patient lives.

This internship position is located in Hillsboro, Oregon, On Site.
The Opportunity:

  • Support the development and deployment of HIT’s Portfolio Management tool
  • Assist in the establishment and improvement of project controls
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and take meeting minutes for technology transfer activities
  • Maintain project documentation and track project progress
  • Support departmental and cross functional activities, including work in analytical development.
  • Support and/or execute analytical assays and conduct data analysis 
  • Support and assist in the development and implement analytical methods to support technology transfers related to cell and gene therapy
  • Collect, organize, and interpret data from various sources, including laboratory experiments, clinical trials, and literature reviews.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations on findings and insights to support project milestones and regulatory submissions.


Program Highlights

  • Intensive 12-weeks full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
  • Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. 
  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are:
You meet the following criteria:

- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)


Required Majors: Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Economics
Required Skills: 

  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cell and gene therapy concepts and techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and develop professionally.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., Excel, SAS, R, Python) is a plus.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. 

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of  Oregon is $22.00-$28.00 hour.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
